Pancake Breakfast
July 10, 2026Pancake Breakfast to Benefit Weld Recreation
Join us for a community pancake breakfast on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 7:00–9:00 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge on the second floor of the Town Hall.
Breakfast will include plain or blueberry pancakes, bacon or sausage, coffee, juice or water, and real local maple syrup. A donation of $8 is suggested.
All proceeds will benefit the Weld Recreation Committee.

July 10, 2026Weld Recreation School Supply Drive
The Weld Recreation Committee is collecting new school supplies and unopened, nonperishable snacks to help families in our community prepare for the upcoming school year.
Donations may be dropped off by Friday, August 14 at the Town Office, Library, or Schoolhouse Variety.
Supplies will be distributed on Sunday, August 16, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. Anyone planning to pick up supplies is asked to contact the committee in advance so enough items are available.

July 10, 2026Join Us for a Free Paint Class!
Weld Recreation will host a free, all-ages paint class on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.
Participants will create an 11" x 14" rainbow trout canvas painting with step-by-step instruction provided. Space is limited, so advance registration is required.

July 9, 2026Mark your calendars—the Raven Run is back!
Join us on Saturday, August 8, 2026, for a new wheel-measured 5K course along Route 142 in Weld. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Weld Town Hall, 17 School Street, and the race starts at 9:00 a.m. at 1 School Street.

July 9, 2026On June 29, 2026, Dina Walker participated in an all-day interview process with Maine’s three gubernatorial candidates: Rick Bennett, Robert Charles, and Hannah Pingree.
She attended as a member of the Maine Municipal Association Executive Committee, representing the Town of Weld. Each candidate was asked the same set of questions regarding issues important to municipalities across Maine.

May 1, 2026The Franklin County Sheriff’s Elder Check Program is a voluntary service that provides regular wellness visits to older residents, especially those living alone. Deputies check on participants’ safety, health, and living conditions while also offering social interaction and connecting them with resources if needed. The program helps reduce isolation, prevent exploitation, and ensure seniors remain safe and supported in their homes.
