The Weld Recreation Committee Meets the first Thursday of each month at 6pm in the Multipurpose Room located at 23 Mill Street, Weld, ME. The chairperson of the committee is Julie Jervis and you can contact her at weldrecreation@weld-maine.org.  

Our Mission Statement: The Weld Recreation Committee (WRC) is an all volunteer, municipal organization created to enhance the lives of members of the community of Weld. WRC Members are committed to lifelong learning to continuously improve our personal, family and community lives. WRC members devote time, services and support to many local agencies and organizations within the community. WRC honors treasured traditions and creates meaningful new ones. As a part of the mission of the WRC, we aim to provide high quality, valuable, inclusive, diverse and safe programs, activities and facilities by offering leisure, recreational and educational events that fulfill the needs of the community and create lasting, positive and inspirational  memories. WRC is dedicated to promoting the public health benefits of physical activity to all ages, recognizing its profound impact on good mental health and overall well-being and WRC is committed to utilizing Welds’ vast outdoor resources to enrich the lives of all its citizens, while at the same time striving for the highest standards in maintaining and effectively managing our resources.
